Instead of telling her about many different games the mock turtle (along with the gryphon) tries to teach Alice to dance the Lobster-Quadrille. With them Alice has her toes tread upon quite often (they are animals after all) so she chooses to sit out the second dance. After this, they all have a talk about nonsense until Alice mentions that she is not sure who she is. Finding her company curious she is able to have a serious talk about her situation with the pair. They continue chatting until the Gryphon announces that it is time to go to the trial. Whose is it? Alice would like to know.
